04-28-201509:12 AM Hi @iiiiirahuliii, Welcome to the HP Forums! It is a terrific place to find answers and suggestions! Chocolate source bean. Packages are independent deployment artifacts • Chocolatey packages are not just fancy zip files with PowerShell, they understand versioning and dependencies, allowing you to encapsulate everything related to managing installation and configuration for a piece of software. • As an independent deployment artifact, Chocolatey packages are not tied to another technology, allowing developers to install packages with Chocolatey and System Administrators to deploy Chocolatey packages using Chocolatey’s integration with their favorite configuration manager like SCCM, Puppet, or Chef.
I grasp you are having an issue with the installation of the Dolby home theater V4. You were able to uninstall the old driver but not install the updated driver. As Dolby does not have drivers, I am assuming you are trying to update a driver from the HP website. Here is a link to the software and driver page for your notebook. HP 15-d103tx Notebook PC Software and Drivers You can use the Check Now option to have it auto detect any applicable software and drivers for your system. Please verify that you have the Cyberlink PowerDVD and Power Media Player Software installed. I did note that you got the message you need to install PCEE first but the installation fails. Here is a link from the WindowsSevenForum that may help. 'PCEE needs to be installed' when trying to enable Dolby Home Theater. If that does not work I would try a HP PCs - Refresh Your PC to Resolve Problems (Windows 8) When I checked the specifications for your notebook I noticed that it came with Free Dos. Have you done all your Windows updates? If none of the above has helped, I suggest you do a fresh installation of your Windows. Best of Luck!

04-29-201502:39 PM Hi @iiiiirahuliii, Thank you for your reply. From your post I see you received the error that the refresh option is not installed. Here is a link that may help if you retry. HP PCs - Refresh Your PC to Resolve Problems (Windows 8). If you are still unable to do the refresh you will need to do a recovery back to factory. HP PCs - Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8). There will be an option to backup your personal files to prevent data loss during the recovery, if you have not yet done one. Good Luck!

Sep. 28, 2018 / Updated by Bessie Shaw to Windows Driver Solutions Does your Dolby device work well after your computer switches to Windows 10? If not, it is probably caused by the Dolby driver incompatibility. Your system is upgraded, but your Dolby drivers haven't been upgraded to Windows 10 automatically. In other words, your current Dolby drivers for Windows 10 are outdated. It can be easily resolved by downloading and updating your Dolby drivers. Top 4 Methods to Download and Update Dolby DriversThere are 4 top-used methods for Dolby drivers download and update. It's quite time-consuming to use the first three methods. Driver Talent is the easiest and quickest method to download and update Dolby drivers for Windows 10, Dolby drivers for Windows 8.1, Dolby drivers for Windows 8, Dolby drivers for Windows 7 and Dolby drivers for Windows XP, applied to Lenovo, Acer, Dell, Asus, HP, etc. 1. Dolby’s WebsiteThis is the first place you'll usually want to look. Register a Dolby account first and select the proper product model number to manually download the Dolby audio drivers, e.g. Dolby advanced audio v2 drivers, Dolby advanced audio v4 drivers, Dolby PCEE audio 7.2 drivers and Dolby digital drivers 7.1. But you can find that some Dolby drivers you need are not supplied for download on Dolby’s website. 2. PC Manufacturer’s websiteYou can also download the related Dolby drivers on your PC or tablet PC manufacturer’s website, such as the Dolby drivers for Lenovo, Dolby drivers for Acer, Dolby drivers for Dell, Dolby drivers for HP. But the same with first method, you can’t get all the Dolby drivers you are looking for. 3. Windows UpdateWindows will automatically get recommended Dolby drivers and updates for your computer. But more often than not, the Dolby drivers offered by Windows Update are out-of-date. You can’t get the latest Dolby advanced audio drivers, or Dolby home theater drivers. 4. OK, my computer is the Acer Aspire M5-583, and includes the Dolby as well. Upon refresh it lost my Dolby, so I also had to follow the instructions listed in the previously mentioned video, and the driver as well as the Dolby portion is part of my Realtek drivers downloaded from the support pages for my computer. I also get the same error PCEE needs to be installed.
Thank you ahead of time for any help. EDIT: Found out problem>I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE VIDEO. Fix: 1. Used the setup program itself to remove the drivers that video instructed to manually uninstall from Device Manager. 2 Computer must be restart at this point, even if doesn't tell you to. 3. Restarted setup program, it then installed the drivers again, and added back in the Dolby Surround Sound Program that was missing after 2 restarts initiated by the program, each time the program coming back up after the restart to finish extra stuff. (I think before I mistakenly cancelled out of it when it restarted thinking it was accidentally started.) While this is what worked for me for my computer, the people that have other computers that the dolby software is included should have similar solutions as long as you download the driver for that individual computer from the manufacturers website like I did.
